These programmes are designed for
individual professional development and change
Graduate Work Readiness (GWR)
The GWR programme is designed to enable new graduates, who have not previously worked in an organisation, to develop the soft skills which are essential for them to add value to their organisation as quickly as possible. This programme is delivered over 16 weeks, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
Each participant will undertake a real-life work-based project identified by the manager. Through the process of planning and implementing the project, the graduate will have invaluable opportunities to develop soft skills such as working with others, communication, problem-solving, taking feedback, and time management.
Participants will complete a project plan and reflection report on the implementation process. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
Action Learning in Practice (ALIP)
This programme is designed for employees who wish to understand and apply the concepts and practices of Action Learning in their organisation. This programme is delivered over 16 weeks, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
Participants are introduced to key concepts and practices of Action Learning. They will each identify a specific issue or problem for an action learning project which they wish to implement in their workplace. They will then develop a project plan and then implement the project with their action learning set.
Participants will complete a project plan and an implementation report detailing the action learning process used. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
Negotiated Professional Development (NPD)

The participant will be guided by the GCWAL facilitator to explore relevant literature and to draw upon the learning gained in order to develop their own professional practice. The themes of this negotiated professional development will be related to individual professional development and organisational objectives.
Participants will complete an action plan for their individual professional development and a reflection report on the initial implementation process. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
